LEICESTER will discover the identity of their ROWE Motor Oil Premiership Grand Final opponents this week.
The Watling JCB Lions have the chance to sit back and watch the semi-final clash between Belle Vue and Sheffield safe in the knowledge that they have booked their place in the title decider with last Thursday’s dramatic win over Ipswich.
The Aces and the Tigers meet in their first leg at the National Speedway Stadium on Monday, and they complete the tie at Owlerton on Thursday.
The outcome of that semi-final has an effect on the date of the Grand Final at the Pidcock Motorcycles Arena, Beaumont Park.
If Sheffield win on aggregate, the Lions will stage the first leg next Monday, September 23 before travelling up to South Yorkshire three nights later.
A Belle Vue victory would mean the Lions travelling to Manchester next Monday and then hosting the second leg on Thursday September 26.
Meanwhile there has been a change to the Lion Cubs’ final fixture of the season as they look to complete an unbeaten campaign in the WSRA National Development League.
Dave Howard’s side, who have already been crowned champions, will now travel to Edinburgh this Saturday (September 21) with a 7pm start, rather than on Friday.
